The State of John McCain’s Health - Shouldn't we know?

The State of John McCain’s Health - Shouldn't we know?

McCain Prescriptions list
Don’t you think someone trying to become “The Leader of the Free World” should release a complete and accurate medical history to the media and the public?

If he can’t be forthcoming and honest about something as simple as thousands of pages of his medical history (yes there are over a thousand of pages of it) how can any American trust he will be honest about anything else?

McCain allowed a select group of journalists to review his medical records. He gave them three hours in a remote location to review more than a thousand pages. No electronic devices, internet, or cell phones were allowed into the room, and no copies could be made. Hmm, that doesn’t seem suspicious at all, now does it?

What is it that is in his medical history that he doesn’t want the media to get a hold of?

We do know McCain has had three types of skin cancer, including malignant melanoma. It might be the details of that type of cancer that he may want to keep hidden. First off, he has stage 2 milignant melanoma. The survival rate for this type of cancer is at about 60% after ten years, a number of which continues to fall off as the years go by.

Melanoma survival rate chart

McCain has had melanoma removed four times already. The most recent being in 2002. The treatments if the melanoma recurs are so harmful to a body that it would leave McCain unable to legally fulfill his duties as President. The numbers say there is a 66% chance of recurrence within ten years. This would put him two years into his Presidency.

Can you say, “I (Sarah Palin) do solemnly swear that I will faithfully execute the office of President of the United States, . . .”? I certainly hope she can’t!

Other medical things to consider about John McCain.

• Smoked two packs of cigarettes a day for 25 years
• Degenerative Arthritis
• High Cholesterol
• High Blood Pressure
• Vertigo
• Allergies
• Takes Hydrochlorothiazide for his kidneys
• Simvastatin for his high cholesterol
• Ambien CR occasionally to get to sleep (See, he really can’t sleep at night.)
• A daily aspirin regimen for blood clot prevention
• Zyrtec for his nasal allergies
• 72 years old – I point this out because many diseases get worse the older you get, and the chances of new ones gets higher. Things like senility, dementia, and Alzheimer’s disease strike the elderly at a much higher rate than younger people.

You can sign a petition meant to let John McCain know it is his duty to release his full medical records by going to – TheREALMcCain.com/doctors

The petition already has over 50,000 signiatures, more than 2,500 of which are doctors who know the risks that face a melanoma survivor better than we do. Please take the minute or two it will take to go sign the open letter to Presidential candidate John McCain.

Disclaimer: This video includes an image of John McCain's fresh scar from the removal of a melanoma. It has raised some controversy. You have been warned. If you do not wish to see the brief image of his scar please do not watch.

I'd like to point out that the 3 hourse a select group of journalists get is more access than Obama has allowed ot his. Instead he just realeased a statement from his family doctor that said "he's in great physical health."
So really, we are supposed ot accept that, yet we want the media to examine McCain's records, scrutinize over them, be allowed more than 3 hours, allow photos, etc... so on, so on. Yet because Obama tells us he's okay, we just accept it (despite the fact that Obama until he decided to run for president was also a heavy chain smoker and still, by his own admission, smokes a few daily).

Give me a freakin break.
Really, if the best you can do is McCain shouldn't be president because he might break down and Palin becomes the president, then you have your voting priorities more screwed up than Bush's economic plans.

A) I agree with you. Obama should release some more detailed medical records.

B) Obama smoked about 10 or less cigarettes a day, and was never a "heavy" smoker. Granted that is still very bad for a person - however it is not a two pack a day (that's 40 cigarettes) habit for 25 years.

C) Obama's physician of 21 years said he has been in excellent health over the time he has treated him, and "Sen. Barack Obama is in overall good physical and mental health needed to maintain the resiliency required in the office of president."

D) Barack Obama's medical history is - a lack of a major history basically. He doesn't have a thousand pages to "release" (if that is what you want to call what McCain did) because he is in good health with few problems.

E) Malignant Melanoma generally becomes fatal. Even the medical profession is begging him to release details so they can assess the course of his melanoma, and the prospects of his future.

His health is hardly the biggest issue, but it is an issue. He would be the oldest President ever elected to a first term. The current oldest - Ronald Reagan. How was his mind during his term? "I don't recall." - Wait, I and many do recall, it was him that didn't recall things.

In closing, I am also extremely shocked that you admit Bush has done something wrong.

Oh yeah, so you feel comfortable I will say Barack Hussein Obama for you.
