Sarah Palin’s Mother-In-Law is Still Going to Vote for Obama
I found a story tonight from Daily News West Coast Bureau Chief Nancy Dillon that was published on August 31st. The focus of the article was the fact (For those unsure, Click here for the definition of “fact” ) that Sarah Palin’s mother-in-law, Faye Palin believes she is going to vote for Barack Obama. She did admit that she hasn’t decided which way her vote will go, but she enjoys hearing Obama speak.
She went on to say, “We don’t agree on everything, but I respect her passion. Being pro-life is who Sarah is.” She also said that Governor Palin didn’t consider terminating her pregnancy when they found out the baby would be born with Down Syndrome. “There was no question. She was going to have that baby.”
The interview with Faye Palin wrapped up with these comments fro the VP nominees mom-in-law, “I’m not sure what she brings to the ticket other than she’s a woman and a conservative. Well she’s a better speaker than McCain.” She followed that shot at McCain with a laugh, then continued, “People will say she hasn’t been on the national scene long enough, but I believe she is a quick study.”
She did have a few other comments about when Sarah was running for City Council after that.
The article went on to interview some locals in Wasilla their comments were split down the middle with some supporting her, and some not.
Wow, her own mother-in-law doesn’t even buy into everything her and McCain believe. I loved her little jab at McCain about how Palin is a better speaker than he is, as if to say, “well sure, but George W. Bush is a better speaker than he is too, and we all know the trouble he has with stringing words together.”
I hope they go out and make “Faye Palin for Obama-Biden ‘08” bumper stickers and pins.
I also saw a story on the Today Show yesterday where they interviewed her five best friends in the entire world. These ladies do everything together. The five friends seem to be split in their decisions about who to vote for too. Rather than get into how they stand on the issues the ladies said they didn’t want to get into politics. Instead they only said they were looking forward to their annual ornament exchange which was coming up in a couple weeks where they were still expecting Palin.
Odd how it seems the people really close to her are split, while those that do not know her seem to be rallying behind her much more.
In closing, I can see how the blinded Republicans (and I DO NOT believe they are ALL blinded and ignore the truth, just many of them do.)… will describe this away. They will say, “Oh that is just a normal mother-in-law / daughter-in-law relationship. How many people like their in laws?”
