Quote of the Day - October 30, 2008 - Some Quotes from Horror Related People for Halloween
In honor of Halloween I decided to use a list of quotes from some people that are generally related with the horror movie genre.
"It's as much fun to scare as to be scared." - Vincent Price
"Most of my nightmares involve me forgetting my lines in a stage play." - Robert Englund
"The first monster you have to scare the audience with is yourself." - Wes Craven
"Evil hiding among us is an ancient theme." - John Carpenter
"To make Michael Myers frightening, I had him walk like a man, not a monster." - John Carpenter
"I don't believe in using too much graphic violence, although I've done it. It's better to be suggestive and to allow the viewer to fill in the blanks in their minds." - Tobe Hooper
"If it can be written, or thought, it can be filmed." - Stanley Kubrick
"When a man cannot choose, he ceases to be a man." - Stanley Kubrick
"Get busy living, or get busy dying." - Stephen King
"God is cruel. Sometimes he makes you live." - Stephen King
"That's what heroic stories do for us. They show us the way. They remind us of the good we are capable of." - Sam Raimi
"I also have always liked the monster within idea. I like the zombies being us. Zombies are the blue-collar monsters." - George A. Romero
"Always make the audience suffer as much as possible." - Alfred Hitchcock
"In films murders are always very clean. I show how difficult it is and what a messy thing it is to kill a man." - Alfred Hitchcock

My fave quote here is the Vincent Price one. Gold.
I like Carpenter's admission about Michael Myers too.
I have quote each month at the top of my own blog, I might have to steal one of these for November!
