Fake Controversy of the Week: McCain Can't Send an E-Mail Ad

McCain Can't Send an E-Mail Ad
You cannot seriously tell me that the Republicans actually believe the crap they are spewing now. They cannot actually think that Barack Obama would make fun of John McCain's war wounds. Everyone knows that would be a stupid move, including well, including everyone. that is however what they are trying to make a fake controversy out of this week. Last week was the fake lipstick on a pig controversy, but FAKE controversy wears off after a few days. So, now they need something else to twist and then blow out of proportion.
Anyone who watches or hears the entire ad can tell you precisely what was meant by the ad, but all they want you to hear is the single line - "He (John McCain) cannot send e-mail." They then attach to that line the fact that the war wounds make it virtually impossible for McCain to type.
It is meant to point out that McCain had been in Washington since 1982, and is a D.C. insider. The very thing he is trying to say he is not, and is against. It moves on to target his lack of change of the last 26 years, while everything around him has. Next it points out that HE admits he still doesn't know how to use a computer, or send e-mail. It continues its theme with he also still doesn't understand the economy, how he favors the tax cuts for corporations, but nothing for the middle class and poor. It then finishes with such a perfect line that I won't give away. You will have to watch the ad below to hear it.
See, the ad is simply calling him old, out of touch, and a bad choice. It is NOT an attempt to make fun of him. Tune in next week to see what the next made up controversy will be.

Did you read what Karl Rove had to say about the McCain campaign?
"McCain has gone in some of his ads -- similarly gone one step too far...and sort of attributing to Obama things that are, you know, beyond the '100 percent truth' test...they ought to -- there ought to be an adult who says, 'Do we really need to go that far in this ad? "
Really Long Link
Yep. KARL ROVE is saying that the republican campaign has gone too far. Oh boy.
Seriously though, are they seriously saying Obama is making fun of McCain's war wounds? Like really truly?

Yep, the first time it was said was as part of that interview with Karl Rove actually. they showed it earlier on the Today show, which is what sent me off to find the clip of the entire ad so I could post. They showed the ad and I said, "seriously!"
When he talked about Obama going to far, this is the ad he was referencing. Rove actually said the
"you know, beyond the '100 percent truth' test"
portion about McCain's ads. He didn't want to call out McCain TOO much, but did say there were lies in his ads.
As everyone has said though, it is REALLY bad when someone like Rove can actually sit there and say to a fellow Republican - man that is too far, that is full of lies.

I'm trying not to be bias here and I obviously do lean towards the Democrats for the simple reason that they are not Republicans, but Obama's ad is something we would see here during an election. But the stuff McCain is coming out with- the wolves and the bullshit lipstick stuff, that wouldn't fly.
That sort of smear campaign just does not go down well.
Actually, the Conservative Liberal Party (yes our conservatives are called Liberal, makes for a bit of confusion), tried to smear and scandalise Labor leader Rudd in the election last year by announcing that he had visited a strip club whilst in New York. Of course, the Australian public laps this up, but not in favour of the Liberals- it actually increased Rudd's popularity, especially amongst women when he said he had already told his wife.
If only these attempts would backfire too.

The easiest way for me to tell you just what Rove said was to create this other post. lol
Transcript - Karl Rove on Fox News Sunday with Chris Wallace - 9-14-08
I highlighted the important parts in navy blue. Overall the answer is yes, he directly said it.
Oh, I remember hearing about Rudd on our news. It was rather funny here. We all thought, well if that happened here the guy would be forced to leave the race.

I wish someone would present that argument to the people stirring the pot of controversy. All he would need was a talk and type program, if only he was willing to learn. . . and to change.
