New Zealand Kindergarteners Wanna Rock. . .
Or at least disco.
In Auckland, New Zealand police raided a loud out of hand party after receiving noise complaints from a neighbor. Police showed up at the One Tree Hill Kindergarten to serve a noise abatement notice. They were shocked to find out it was an annual “disco” at the kindergarten school.
One teacher called the raid “absurd.” Regardless of its absurdity the party was forced to bring the volume down a few notches for the final half hour till it finally ended at 7P.M. local time.
Teacher Jenny Skerritt admitted there was some noise, but pointed out that it wasn’t enough to disturb several babies that slept through it all. Lisa Gordon, the head teacher at the facility said they had never had noise complaints before and, “we’re planning to frame the notice.”
I am thinking the neighbor that called the police to complain about the noise just missed nap-time earlier in the day.
