You can also find ones that have tables and grills attached to them so you can cook your food, enjoy your meal and company and also relax and watch the peaceful ambience of a fire. Fire pits encourage people to linger, engage in conversation and enjoy the night air and sky.
Fire pits are easy to maintain especially if they are made with natural gas, electricity or propane. There is no mess and no ash like a real wood burner. You can even purchase them with added scents so the unit emits that country smoke aroma to the area when the fire pit is turned on.
Or for the true back to nature campers there are fire pits that burn traditional wood and act just like you are out camping. To keep the fire going you add more fire, when the embers die low you roast marshmallows and when the fire is cold you empty the ashes. What more could you want in your backyard?
