Creative Easter Baskets

Easter baskets do not have to expensive or complicated. They just need to be fun and creative for both the giver and the receiver. The following are some ideas for the giving of Easter treats:
The Easter Package: A plastic storage container with snap on lid. If you are giving edible treats, place a little colorful plastic grass in the container, add your treats and cover with a pastel cover lid.
A plastic Easter or pastel covered plate or platter that can be found at your local discount store. These often only cost $1.00. Just add plastic grass and your treats.
The Easter Package Contents: Bake some Easter cookies using inexpensive cutters found at your local dollar or discount store.
Mix up Rice Krispies treats or popcorn balls in pastel shades
Fill some plastic eggs with trinkets, such as stickers, jelly beans, candy eggs, and small toys. Hide them in or outside your home. Give each child an empty basket and let them search and fill the baskets themselves
For girls buy some candy necklaces or candy rings and add them to their basket.
Make homemade coupons for special treats as going to a movie, a night of pizza or having a sleepover with friend.
Add an Easter book or two for their reading enjoyment.
Add a small box of crayons and miniature coloring books
Tuck in a small stuffed animal that needs a loving home
Give them some glam with a small bottle of nail polish and/or lip gloss
All of these ideas are so simple, and so thoughtful. You will have fun making them and the receiver will love getting their Easter surprises.
