Chances are a lot of your lures sat around and rusted over the winter.
Rusty hooks can be an angler's worst enemy. Not only are they dull but getting stuck by a rusty hook is worse than getting stuck by a new hook because the rust is a quicker route for infection.
I've talked about sharpening hooks before but, it may be a lot easier to simply swap out the old hooks with new ones.
Whether you sharpen a hook or replace it is often a matter of choice but here are some useful suggestions.
