2009 Academy Award (Oscar) Nominations List

Here is the list of the 2009 Academy Award Nominees. Leading the way was "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button" with 13 nominations. Close behind was the surprise hit, "Slumdog Millionaire". Many are now picking Slumdog as the favorite to win for Best Picture. I agree, it will win the Oscar, but I will save rest of my picks for a post shortly before the 81st Academy Award Ceremony scheduled for February 22, 2009. the show will be hosted by Hugh Jackman.


In a nice tribute, Heath Ledger was indeed nominated for Best Supporting Actor. the nomination comes on the one year anniversary of the actor's death.
